Welcome to Ysgol Aberporth and Canolfan y Don

Ysgol Aberporth is a warm and inclusive Welsh-medium primary school located in the heart of the picturesque seaside village of Aberporth, Ceredigion. Our vibrant school community embraces the Welsh language and culture, nurturing pupils to become confident bilingual learners who are proud of their identity.

Alongside the mainstream provision, we are proud to be home to Canolfan y Don, a specialist centre that provides tailored support for pupils with complex additional learning needs.

Our School

Ysgol Aberporth welcomes children from Reception to Year 6, fostering a love of learning through creativity, exploration, and care. The school is set in spacious grounds, with modern classrooms, a well-equipped library, and dedicated outdoor learning areas that promote both academic achievement and well-being. Canolfan y Don

Canolfan y Don is an integral part of our school community. Staffed by specialist teachers and support staff, the centre offers a safe and stimulating environment for pupils who benefit from a bespoke curriculum and additional therapeutic support. The team works in close partnership with families and professionals to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
